PWCA
Bringer of both good and bad fortune, Pwca is a mischievous shape shifting creature, living in the South Wales valley’s from Mynyddislwyn to Cwmcarn. It is known to lead travelers astray with its playful tricks, however despite its troublesome spirit, Pwca is always there to help, in return of your generous offerings.
As Pwca shifts through its forms, sometimes appearing as a goblin-like creature and sometimes as a humanoid with animalistic features such as cats, birds and rabbits.
Most of the decorative materials for this sculpture were naturally sourced from the land, silver birch bark, feathers, flowers and moss.
This sculpture was created for Pwca Festival, in Cwmcarn 2025. It is currently held at the Fork n’ Tune, Cwmcarn, and will remain in the music venue for the foreseeable.
